FloodFlash had grown in headcount during the pandemic and ran out of space for their team in their current serviced space. Their simplified desk booking system offered at the time made managing their hybrid team complicated and they would often book offsite meeting rooms due to the lack of space. They were also looking for slicker support with door access, coffee machines, and water supply.

As they approached their Series A funding and headcount grew, this was the catalyst for moving to a new office. They were keen to move away from the serviced office environment and have their own place, but they knew they needed support and a sense of reliability that everything will just work.

Making their home uniquely theirs

After working with brokerage, Kontor in their space search, FloodFlash stumbled across Albion Mills, ideally located in what they describe as the 'cool side' of the City, with the insurance hub just around the corner.

They loved the unique warehouse-style character and natural light. Working with an existing high quality fit-out, our design team worked with them on bringing the space to life and making it theirs with their branding, additional furniture, plants and accessories. A hero feature of this was a huge wall vinyl of a beautiful flood map - a subtle nod to their important work supporting landlords and businesses with commercial flood cover.

Empowering a People Manager to focus on their people

As FloodFlash's People & Office Manager, Zara was juggling multiple roles and responsibilities in their previous office. Being split across supporting the Founders, to People Operations and HR and on top of that, managing the seemingly endless list of office management issues and requests that weren't always within her expertise.

Now, in their Kitt office, Zara is able to focus on people, not the space. With the Kitt support, she's been able to develop the other important areas of her role, knowing the day-to-day office experience is being looked after by the experts.
