The Open Exchange Brief

The Open Exchange team in London were without an office after letting go of a short-term lease during the pandemic.

But after growing from 5 to 55 people, they began looking for a new space to bring their team together in.

Being a virtual meetings company, they had bespoke AV requirements as well as a need to create a space that they were able to work alongside clients in on the day of complex events and projects.

Finding 'the one' in Farringdon

After finding the space at Link House in Farringdon, they worked with the Kitt design team to create the perfect ‘events centre’, with a studio and acoustics at the top of the priorities list.

Open Exchange viewed a number of workspace options, but opted for Kitt because they wanted someone to think through the design and fit-out of the space for them, and the day-to-day office operation.

AV and acoustics

A big priority for Open Exchange was acoustics. We made sure to include high acousitce features in a ll key meeting areas.

As a virtual meetings company, their AV set-up was incredibly important to them. We sourced and installed high-end specialist display screens in their boardroom to impress any visiting client.

An 'Events Centre' to be proud of

The team don't refer to their space as an office, instead an events centre as the true nature of the space is bringing clients together into the space, it's a very important part of the culture.

With a custom-built Studio, the team can record video content supported by special industry-leading wall acoustics. A beautiful moss wall surrounding the Studio window adds a natural 'lived-in' element to the space.
